Field Inventory Auditor Analyst

The Field Inventory Analyst will be part of the Foot and Ankle team. The incumbent will oversee the Field Inventory Program, effectively complete field audits, and report financial statements to stakeholders. The incumbent will also ensure the achievement of complete and accurate counts of inventory and assets while traveling to distributors across the United States. This includes developing, continuously improving, and implementing processes and policies with the field inventory team.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

  • Work with the Manager of Field Inventory, executing processes that are compliant with internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for coordinating annual inventory at all customer consignment locations and performing necessary system transactions related to inventory reconciliation.
  • Working collaboratively with sales and internal stakeholders during the reconciliation process.
  • Monthly reporting of consignment inventory and SLED reporting including notifications to sales force and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct virtual quarterly cycle count audits, ensuring field cycle counts are executed appropriately and all required supporting documentation is completed.
  • Providing reports and analysis of customer consignment inventory to ensure compliance and quality of customer held inventory.
  • Design, review, and adjust the inventory audit program to ensure periodic audits are complete and conciliatory, ensuring inventory records and traceability are transacted appropriately.
  • Assist in completion and re-defining inventory control and management processes based on a best practice approach with the Field Inventory team.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, manage data, and present results to leadership.
  • Know the Field Inventory locations to prepare and schedule physical inventories effectively.
  • Conduct physical and virtual inventories of all field accounts based on company requirements.
  • Conduct Pre-Audit meetings with the Field and Commercial team.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to assess new tools, automation, and inventory readiness; act as a resource for resolving escalated issues.
  • Assists customers and commercial teams in training, guidance, and support, as necessary, regarding inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Interfaces with customers and sales to discuss inventory discrepancies; reviews supporting documentation to lead and guide those discussions to a conclusion.
  • Develop and update dashboards to report on the department's KPIs.
  • Makes day-to-day decisions demonstrating a basic understanding of the financial business drivers and their inter-relationships

Required Education and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in inventory management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory management systems, inventory control methodologies, and distribution practices
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and deploy tactical-level execution plans for associates.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and excellence.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, projecting a strong customer and associate focus.
  • Must be tech-savvy with the ability to learn and navigate software (such as ERP, Power BI, etc.), Microsoft Office applications (outlook, excel, PowerPoint), and other software as necessary.
  • Organized, analytical approach to problem-solving and comfortable negotiating across all levels and functions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, complete deadlines on time, and maintain strong accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities to review and interpret data.
  • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 75% of travel may be required
